2. General information

treezstore.com is the company website of Treez GmbH and its brands Treez Club and Treez Tools. We do not run an online shop on this website. We only process personal data where this is necessary to provide this website and to answer your requests. The legal bases are in particular:

• Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, if you have given consent,
• Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, if processing is necessary to perform a contract or for pre-contractual measures,
• Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR, if we are legally obliged to process data,
• Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, if processing is necessary for our legitimate interests and your interests do not override them.

We delete personal data as soon as the purpose of processing no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Some of the service providers named below are based in the USA or transfer data there. For companies certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, an adequacy decision of the EU Commission applies. Otherwise, transfers are based on EU standard contractual clauses.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by an external provider: ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. We have a data processing agreement with this provider under Art. 28 GDPR.

When you visit the website, information sent by your browser is automatically stored in server log files: IP address, date and time, page visited, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This processing ensures stable and secure operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files are deleted automatically after the retention period set by the host.

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons. Fonts are loaded locally from our server; there is no connection to Google Fonts.

4. Cookies and consent

We use technically necessary cookies, for example for your language setting. We also store your privacy choice in the cookie “ts_consent” (stored for 12 months). The legal basis is § 25 (2) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (c) and (f) GDPR.

Services that are not strictly necessary are only loaded after you have agreed in the banner (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). On this website this applies to the translation feature via Google Translate (see section 8). We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

5. Contact and contact form

If you contact us by email, phone or via the contact form, we process your details (e.g. name, email address, message) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

To protect against spam, the form contains a field that is invisible to people and a time check. No data is sent to third parties for this.

6. Booking calls via Calendly

For calls we link to the Calendly service (Calendly LLC, USA). The booking calendar is not embedded in this website; data is only sent to Calendly once you click the link. If you book a call, Calendly processes the details you enter (e.g. name, email address, preferred time) to organise the appointment (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Calendly’s privacy policy also applies.

7. Links to shops, brands and social media

Links to Amazon, eBay, our brand websites treezclub.com and treeztools.com, and our Instagram and TikTok profiles are simple links. Data is only transferred once you click a link. The privacy policies of the respective providers apply to processing on those sites.

8. Translation feature

This website is available in German and English. For further languages (Spanish, French, Dutch) we use the GTranslate plugin together with Google Translate (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The translation is only loaded once you have agreed, either in the banner or when choosing one of these languages. Only then is a script from GTranslate (gtranslate.net) loaded and the page content and your IP address sent to Google. Your language choice is stored in a cookie or your browser’s local storage. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings”.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

• access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
• have data deleted (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can object to processing for direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

10. Other

There is no automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. We update this privacy policy whenever our data processing or the legal situation changes.
